Those first few days, weeks of having your tiny new baby join your family really do fly by. The newborn phase is in fact, the shortest part of our lives. I learnt this more so when becoming a Mummy myself. Becoming a Mummy is actually what first inspired me to offer this service to parents, to be able to capture those tiny little features that change so quickly, to give you something to keep forever and to look back on these special memories.
Newborn photography is something I specialise in and I have now been photographing babies for 9 years.
HOW DO THE NEWBORN SESSIONS WORK?
Your newborn session will take place in the comfort of your own home. There is no need to leave the house on this occasion, we all know what that entails with a newborn! I bring everything I need with me from the set ups, flooring and lighting. I will ask you to feed baby if a feed is due and then we are good to go.
My approach to newborn photography is very relaxed and informal. I want yourself and baby to feel relaxed throughout. My sessions are never rushed and are always lead by baby. We can take as many breaks as we need for feeds, changing, burping or anything else that may crop up. Understandably you may feel a little apprehensive before, wondering how your baby will be, but I can ensure you, your baby is my upmost priority. I will ensure baby is happy and content at all times. They tend to sleep through all of it! I am also fully trained in newborn photography and continually updating my skills. Also being a Mummy myself I understand it all, your baby is in good hands.
WHEN IS BEST TO PHOTOGRAPH MY BABY?
Ideally I like to do my newborn sessions between 7-18 days. However, I do allow babies up until 3 weeks for a full newborn session or up until 4 months for a mini newborn session. The reason I photograph under 3 weeks is simply because at this age your baby is very new, very curly and very sleepy which means I am able to get the lovely curled up poses which are unique to early newborns.
However, if you have missed this small window, please do not worry. During a mini newborn session I will still be able to capture your gorgeous baby. The session, as always, will be led by baby and I will follow their lead and do only what they are happy with

For babies aged 5 days-3 weeks
The full newborn photography session can last around 2 hours, and includes:
– My travel to you (over 20 miles will incur an extra travel fee)
– Use of my beautiful props
– Parent and sibling shots included if wanted
– My editing time to hand edit each image
– An online gallery for you to view and choose your images from
– 10 fully edited images ready for a digital download

A MINI NEWBORN
For babies aged 5 days-4 months
The mini newborn photography session will last around 1 hour. It includes:
– My travel to you (over 20 miles will incur an extra travel fee)
– Use of my beautiful props
– My editing time to hand edit each image
– An online gallery for you to view and order from
– 5 images you will be able download

Addition images – £10 each
*The mini newborn session is totally lead by your baby. You may have sleepy wrapped up shots, or beautiful awake images. This is dependant on baby’s age too.

Booking whilst you are still pregnant is a good idea as usually I get booked up quickly. By booking in advance it means I can save space for you around your due date. If you baby has already arrived then please contact me as soon as you can and I can see if I can squeeze you in.
