CELEBRATE YOUR BABY TURNING 1 WITH A CAKE SMASH EXPERIENCE!

What a fun way to celebrate your baby turning 1! I really love a cake smash session, it really shows a little ones personality.

WHAT HAPPENS?

I start the session with some portraits of your little one, this helps them to relax a little and get to know me. For this you can provide an outfit, maybe a special one for their first birthday, or I have a small choice of outfits you are more than welcome to use. It’s then followed by the ‘cake smash’ itself. I provide a basic iced cake with every session (you can supply your own if you wish) which will fit in with your theme. Your child can then explore the cake as they wish! Some like to dive straight in and get messy some take it a little slower and taste it delicately. Either way I love seeing how they each explore, taste and smash the cake! We then finish up with a little splash in my special wash tub.

THE SET UP

I like to keep my set ups fairly simple, adding a little theme or splash of colour. During booking I will ask what theming you would like and I will create something amazing for you. If there is something particular you have in mine do let me know, I will always aim to give you the set up you desire. 

As I am a mobile photographer this session will take place in your home. Please don’t worry too much as I try to keep it as contained as I can, usually keeping it on the flooring I bring. I also use a waterproof material to protect your floors and I take away all the mess! If you would prefer, there are many venues I like to use and we can do it in one of these or something near you instead. We can also plan to do this outside (weather depending) in a gorgeous location.

If you have decided that maybe a cake smash isn’t for you, but you’d still like to do something to celebrate your baby’s first birthday, this is still possible.
